After a great and wonderful 10 days Summer Camp in Quezon Province, we prepared the Back to School 2016 for all our children last mid-June. This is a crucial period especially for the ones who recently joined our foundation and will go back to school after a long period in the street. After a few months in Drop-In centers to help them become stable and quit their streets habits, they’ve been transferred in Residential Homes during May and June. In the Residential Homes, they find a family atmosphere and are enrolled in the neighboring formal schools where they mingle with other children of their age. The first day of school, as usual, revealed mixed feelings of apprehension and hope. Thankfully, the family atmosphere in our shelters is deeply helpful.
This is an important step in their life and a beautiful reward for all of us in our daily mission for those children in need.
